5. POLISHING

The casting is polished using a pendant motor.

6. FINISHING

Carolin Dieler

Each jewelry piece by Carolin Dieler is telling a story of the relationship between humanity and the ocean. The question of how mankind can reconnect to nature is the essence of her work and the fascination for the wonders of the ocean are driving her creativity and generate the stories to build each collection around.

Her excitement for design and craftsmanship has driven Carolin from a young age to attend various sewing classes, drawing workshops and hours and hours of crafting. To become a fashion designer was what she was striving for. This led her to different internships and finally her apprenticeship as a fashion tailor. During her design studies in the Netherlands she fell in love with designing, creating and crafting jewelry. The timelessness, strong emotional value, the scale and the materiality of different metals was inspiring and excited her day by day. This passion for the craft and storytelling through design is what made her build up her jewelry brand in 2020.

Carolins attraction to industrial objects is a visual red line that pulls through all items and stands as a starting point for her creative processes. This affinity for the rawness and boldness of working with our hands is also what unites HADERLUMP and Carolin Dieler in their visual language - this is why the brands joined forces for the SS24 presentation of HADERLUMP - Opus Mannum.
