EX LIBRIS

EX LIBRIS

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025 — Berlin at its hottest.
Against this backdrop, we presented our new Spring/Summer 2026 collection, “EXLIBRIS,” at Haus der Visionäre. The venue opened their gates to welcome 450 guests into a curated setting that explored identity and the ongoing legacy of ownership. For us, EXLIBRIS marks a new chapter - both a continuation and an evolution of our conceptual practice.

“EX LIBRIS,” Latin for “from the books,” refers to the small printed plates once placed inside personal books to signify their owner. These miniature artworks, rich in detail and symbolism, served not only as marks of possession but also as portraits of identity. A motto, a coat of arms, a mythological figure—each one a quiet yet deliberate declaration: This is mine. This is who I am.

The collection uses historical bookplates as a conceptual framework. Silhouettes move between the sculptural and the expressive. Tailored bombers and broadshouldered coats create a commanding form, while corseted blouses and draped skirts introduce softness and tension. Overall, this season’s draping marks a departure from the purely utilitarian edge to more organic shapes. The designs nod to classical dress, yet remain rooted in a distinctly contemporary edge. Each piece feels like a personal artifact, shaped with intention.

As in previous seasons, collaboration remains essential to our approach. For EX LIBRIS, we teamed up with Berlin-based accessories label Liebeskind. Archival bag styles were reinterpreted as modern-day EX LIBRIS plates - each one a personal mark, redefining ownership in a contemporary language. The show’s hair and makeup were developed in close collaboration with Caia Cosmetics, with graphic liner and dewy skin complementing the looks of the collection.
