Handmade in Berlin.
Unique piece from the collection “Urban Aesthetics”. For this trouser, patterns were cut out from old jeans and leather jackets and reassembled. Corporate Haderlump print on the pockets. The new upcycling creations of designer Johann Ehrhardt are a tribute to the travelers whom, about 300 years ago, collected worn out clothing and scraps of fabric, so-called “rags”, from the population and sold them to paper mills.
From the Middle Ages up until the 18th century, these “rags” of linen, hemp or cotton – together with spinning and other textile waste – formed the only available fiber raw material for the production of paper. Today we use these textile scraps to create new, unique clothing.
